EVENT OVERVIEW
Most of our events and programs are open to Chamber Members and friends/non-members. We average 70-100 business leaders attending most events and 100-150 at our special programs. The Hanover Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of regular programs listed below.

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS Monthly (Excluding September & December) Tour the county & visit different Hanover companies with our Business After Hours Series. More like grownup field trips than stodgy-mingles, these relaxed events make networking more fun! Invite a guest or bring a valued customer. | AIRPARK 5K April Runners, walkers, and cheering fans hit the flat and friendly Airpark course near Ashland for a fun-filled 5K—complete with swag, giveaways, and a mascot race to kick things off! |
SPEED NETWORKING Quarterly Join us for an exciting, high-impact, structured way to meet more people quickly. Participants will be put into groupings, then the people in their group introduce themselves in turn before moving to the next rotation. Be prepared with a 40-60 second intro. Don't have your intro down now? You will by the time you leave. | DISCOVER EXPO June Join us at Discover Expo and get ready for a day packed with vibrant vendors, valuable resources and inspiring speakers relevant to individuals and businesses! |
ON-TOPIC SPEAKER SERIES Quarterly Keeping you informed with area updates, keynote speakers, top-notch panels, workshops and community connections. | ANNUAL MEMBER GALA September Networking, beverages, dinner, prizes and entertainment, leadership elections and chamber updates CELEBRATE HANOVER December Celebrate Hanover during this festive time of year! Let’s be merry with your festive attire as we bring together community leaders, elected officials and business leaders. |
September - May A 9-month interactive certificate program to strengthen and encourage local leaders. Sessions focus on leadership philosophy, self-awareness, effective communication, delegation and teamwork, visioning, efficient networking, and community and civic engagement. The Leadership Hanover class learns from and is mentored by an accomplished and diverse faculty of established leaders from across Hanover and the RVA region. | April The Sheriff’s Annual Awards Ceremony is followed by a dinner reception open to all deputies, their families and our chamber community in recognition of our thanks for the tremendous service they provide. Proceeds from this event benefit the Sheriff's Foundation and allow deputies and their families to attend the dinner at no cost. |
DEVELOPING COMMUNITY LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP Awarded in June Applicants must intend to continue their education with an accredited two or four-year college, university, junior college, or a vocational training program and pursue a business, trade, or leadership related field (such as business administration, marketing, political science, a skilled trade, etc.) or have a personal interest in entrepreneurship | October Teams of four tee-off each October for our annual fundraising tournament. Proceeds benefit the Chamber Foundation's efforts in providing scholarships and additional philanthropic gifts to our community. |
