You make a big impact when you shop small! Shopping local supports business owners in your neighborhood and allows more dollars to feed your local economy. This year, kick off your holiday buying at small businesses on Saturday, November 28th.

Many Hanover, Ashland and Mechanicsville businesses are locally-owned and/or family-owned, and many are part of our Hanover Chamber of Commerce community. Retail, restaurants, personal services, artisan crafts and more. Use our Online Member Directory Tool to search for member companies by name, industry or area. 

If you're in the Ashland area... Downtown Ashland Assocation and Market Ashland Partnership will once again host a social media contest throughout the holiday week, inviting customers shopping in Ashland to post a photo with the hashtag #shopashlandfirst to be entered to win one of two $100 gift certificates.

An AMEX US study showed that for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community. So, whether you shop with a Chamber member or at another great community business, we hope you choose to shop small when you can!
